Please Support Adding Super Hornets to the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget
Currently, the President’s defense budget request does not include 14 additional F/A-18E/F Super Hornets that were listed as a priority by the U.S. Navy.
These aircraft are needed to remedy the Navy’s shortfall in Super Hornets due to heavy use of these strike fighters in recent combat operations. Failure to meet the Navy’s request in the Fiscal Year 2017 defense budget will deepen the shortfall and threaten the only American production line capable of producing mission-ready strike fighters and electronic attack aircraft for the Navy today.
Elected representatives in Washington, D.C., need to hear from you on an issue of great importance to America’s military strength and national security. Show your support for the Super Hornet, the U.S. Navy, and our military by contacting your congressional leaders. The F/A-18 program supports approximately 60,000 jobs nationwide, works with 800 suppliers in 44 states, and accounts for $3 billion in economic impact for our country.
